MURAHO, RWANDA! We made it!

Justin and his team scooped us up from the airport and brought us to our hotel, where we began unpacking and sorting all of the donations carried over in our luggage. We will be distributing them to the co-ops as we go!

We're all happy, healthy, and hoping to get some good sleep tonight. Tomorrow we start visiting the co-ops - and we couldn't be more excited!

Thank you for following us all the way to Rwanda...

Thoughts from a few of the travelers:

Sherry: It was so nice to walk out of the Kigali Airport into the warm (but perfect) weather and to see Justin, Chantal, and Dany. They were so welcoming and greeted each of us with a red rose. They made me feel like family and I am so happy to be able to spend the next two weeks together.

Olga: Arriving at the airport, everything is working out perfectly - even with a glitch in finding all our baggage. Everyone being together, and to then walk out and see the Rwanda Team, I was just overwhelmed with emotion. It’s so great to see Justin, Dany, and Chantal again, and it reminded me everything is going to be okay. So excited for these next two weeks!

Sydney: I’m so looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds! I’m trying to not have any expectations - just an open mind and heart!

Grace: The trip to Rwanda went very smoothly and I was so happy when I spotted those World Dance tee shirts at the airport. Finally, this trip I’ve been daydreaming about for months is really happening! I’m so excited to get to know the travelers, the country, and the amazing people at the cooperatives.

Marcia: Nothing like a good night’s sleep and a refreshing shower to revive me after two days of traveling. We are finally at our destination in the beautiful city of Kigali. We were greeted at the airport with smiles, hugs and roses by the lovely WD4H staff here and then taken to Beausejour Hotel. Our rooms are bright and airy with spectacular views of the cityscape and hillsides. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating - and the weather is perfect.

Genevieve: There's nothing like feeling of the wheels touching down on the runway, knowing you've arrived safely in Africa. This continent has a certain magic about it - one that grabs hold of you the moment you step foot onto her red earth, breathing in her warm, gentle air. Beyond grateful to be back in this beautiful place. Two weeks, twenty-one travelers, twenty-five cooperatives - TUGENDE - LET'S GO!
