Today was our long-awaited "chill" day in Kigali.
In the morning, a group of the travelers got dressed up and went to visit a local church, while others hung back at the hotel and relaxed.
Then we all met up to head to the big central market in town, where we found an abundance of beautiful fabrics, handcrafts, drums, jewelry, and much more! Haggling with the shop owners, looking for the best deal, meeting other travelers from all over the world - it was quite an experience!
The next stop: the Manor Hotel! We headed into the hills to this quaint hotel, where we laid by the pool, swam in the cool water, and enjoyed fresh juices and yummy food - all while over looking Rwanda's rolling hills in the distance.
After having a dance party on the pool deck, we headed home for a lovely dinner together.
Tomorrow we're visiting three co-ops in the Kigali area: Cokawi, Murindi, and Copakika.
Looks like a lovely chill day. Nothing like a WD dance party! Much love to all of you!
